OP Episodic Lab

Hello from the Orchard Project!We are thrilled to share the growing and incredible lineup of industry leaders who will be advising our first class of Orchard Project Episodic Lab writers this summer. The advisors, who are both helping us structure this new world-class program and some of which will be on-site  having one-on-one creative story meetings with participants to help them elevate their pilots, have written some of my own favorite TV shows. Some are Orchard Project alumni themselves — having written for theater, TV, and film — and some are new to our OP family. Across the board, their enthusiasm and willingness to share the “secret sauce” with a new generation of writers is contagious. Greetings from the Orchard Project!As spring slowly starts to thaw out both our upstate and downstate homes, the Orchard Project has been busy selecting work to support in 2018 and expanding with new programs. For our fourth summer in Saratoga Springs, we will be supporting over 30 new shows that will go to theatres across the country and world. We will also be expanding the Orchard Project's theatre program from five weeks to six, and launching a new two week program in July that will bring television writers, TV studio executives, and top talent to Saratoga to develop the next generation of episodic content.And as has become a hallmark of the Orchard Project, every once in a while, we will open up the doors to allow our local advocates and supporters to see world class new work in Saratoga Springs.Our 2018 membership program, allowing supporters free and exclusive entry to events, will launch soon, but in the meantime, we wanted to share the dates for our events,...

OP Episodic Lab

Greetings again from the Orchard Project!We are proud to share with our friends, colleagues, artistic family and supporters, the launch of our newest program: a new summer lab program that will help artists to develop television and episodic content. Working with accomplished showrunners and producers as mentors, participants in the new Orchard Project Episodic Lab will be able to develop a specific project and elevate the level of their work. Lab participants will have time and space to work, one-on-one creative story meetings with industry leaders, pitching sessions, mock writers’ rooms, and collaboration sessions with peers. NYC Greenhouse

Greetings from the Orchard Project!We are proud to announce the eleven writers, composers, directors, and companies participating in our first New York City Greenhouse. The Orchard Project NYC Greenhouse is a new accelerator for artists to generate ambitious and unexpected work, form new relationships and develop a new generation of theater. Through the Greenhouse, the Orchard Project will support more artists in innovative ways.Over the course of the year-long residency, Greenhouse participants will become an integral part of the Orchard Project's artist community. The group will meet monthly to develop and workshop pieces, share new work and receive feedback from their peers.
