Orchard Project OPportunity Fund – Collaboration Request
e.g., Producer, Lead Artist, Company Manager
e.g., Production Company, LLC, Collective, Presenter

Project basics

What is it, what’s the experience, and what makes the form/voice distinctive?
e.g., Fringe run, Off-Broadway, regional production, tour, showcase, recording, etc

Readiness/history

Readings/workshops/labs, prior presentations, awards, partners, and what you learned. If you are in any way an OP alum or the project emanated out of any OP related labs, please state so here.
Lead artist(s), producer(s), director(s), designers, presenter/venue (if any). Names and links or bios are fine.
Include target city/festival/venue and best-guess dates.

Eligibility / commitments

Examples that are typically fine: For performance, U.S. festivals, Off-Broadway, Edinburgh Fringe, and even some US based commercial contexts. No money passed through the OPportunity fund is allowed to bestow ANY investment benefits for the donor, so while the fund theoretically can support a venture that has a commercial component, if you are looking to raise commercial investment for a film or performance through the fund, you cannot. Some international commercial contexts may not be eligible.
e.g., Edinburgh, Seattle, New York City

Budget / fundraising

Please share the ESTIMATED budget for your FULL project, a portion of which may be supported by funds raised through the OPportunity Tund.
This is the amount of the above you would be looking to raise in contributed funds. For many projects, the total above and here may be the same, but for others, you may be looking to have some of the project supported by contributions (generally development costs) and later production and distribution organized around investments.

The OPportunity Fund offers two primary collaboration pathways. This question helps us understand the level of support you’re interested in at this stage — it does not lock you into a final structure.

Supported by the OPportunity Fund Best for projects seeking basic, fee-free fiscal sponsorship as they move toward production. OP serves as fiscal sponsor and compliance partner, allowing you to raise tax-deductible funds through a U.S. nonprofit while retaining primary producing control.

Produced in Association with the OPportunity Fund Designed for projects seeking a deeper producing partnership. In addition to fee-free fiscal sponsorship, OP may provide hands-on support such as production management, budgeting and cashflow planning, payroll processing, contracting, and fundraising strategy, the resources for which may or may not need to be budgeted into the project. This model reflects a more integrated collaboration and shared visibility.

If you’re unsure which model fits best, select “Not sure yet.” We’re happy to discuss options as part of the review process
